The Avenue at Nork Park

The picture of the "avenue" was taken, I am pretty sure, in 1897, and I assume it was a souvenir that Constance brought back from her time there. I believe it was brought to the USA as a souvenir by Constance Dalziel when she and her father, Murray Dalziel, returned home after visiting in 1907. I believe the notation, "Avenue at Nork Park," is in Constance's handwriting. This picture was in Murray Dalziel's scrapbook when he died in 1942 in Jackson Michigan, USA.

I am somewhat puzzled about exactly where this picture was taken. I have only been to Nork Park once. This avenue leads up to the right front (facing the house).

This picture is in the following groups
Nork House
The gate pillars are there at end of The Drive near the car park for the tennis courts.
I can't believe they've been moved so must be in their original position?

The gate pillars at the end of The Drive are too close together to be the ones in the picture. And also they are in the wrong orientation in relation to where Nork House was. So i can't quite work out why they are there.

Note from LNW: Have you looked at picture #391 which may be part of the answer. See also picture #573 which expands on the entrance to the Drive from Nork Park Hill and has more information about the various pillars.
