I lived at The Surrey Yeoman as a child in the early forties and fifties when Oscar Collier was the licensee.

Hazel I also lived in Burgh Heath in Duncan Rd and remember Oscar Collier I used to sit outside with crisps and that big biscuit while my mum and dad where inside and I also remember a little boy living there. Nice to hear others remember the old days.

Page and Overton's - a Croydon brewery. I think they had red writing on a yellow background on their vehicles. Anyone else remember?

Hi Helen, do you remember the year that little boy lived at The Surrey Yoman, he might have been Oscar's son Dick if it was before 1941.

Hello Shaun, my father and your Grandfather Oscar Collier were great friends. I have quite a few photos of Oscar if you would like to see them.

Years after our army service together I met Dick and his family just before I emigrated to New Zealand in 1967, we subsequently lost touch but have often wondered how things turned out for him.
