I visited my sister Maria who lives in your village I took a few photographs of the local church graveyard.

How sad is this photo of the graveyard? Is it all in this condition? My maternal Grandparents are buried there, namely Walter Field and his first wife who sadly died when my Mum was the youngest of 6 children and was only 6 years old.

Reply from LW : Hi Pat, the churchyard is quite well maintained but some parts are better than others. I don't know for certain but I assume that the descendants are responsible for maintaining the grave, although I believe that any badly leaning headstones are laid down to avoid them falling on anyone. The church does maintain the grass on the site and tries to keep things tidy. Have you any idea of the location of you grandparents grave? I can easily photograph it for you.
