Comments:
The pub had a public, saloon and also a small private bar. The saloon was more to the back. The structure on the left was the outside toilets - Gents at least - and I don't think were ever locked. The publican at that time was Mr Pickering, if I remember correctly; anyway a rather portly man, who seemed to shuffle around behind the bar.
Note the tall pine tree within the property, which can be seen in several other pictures of the High Street.
The Brewery was Courage, as can be seen on the signs outside, but I think earlier it may have been supplied by Page and Overton's, although I could be wrong.

Originally a "Hodgson's Kingston Brewery" Inn the original Landlord was Tom Gilbert who was followed by Mrs. Gilbert then the Bennett's and then Arthur Pickering. Arthur had his own Cricket team and Ronnie Pratt and his brother Derek used to play for him. Ronnie became a regular opening left hand bat for Surrey.

Searching the web I find that Courage & Co Ltd. acquired Hodgson's Kingston Brewery in 1943 so I'm wrong about Page & Overton.
I think the doors behind the island were for the private bar and the one on the right hand side by the rear bicycle wheel was the public bar entrance. The main entrance may have led to both the saloon and public bar, but I'm not that certain now.
